The continentally nominated and award-winning, D-Black da Ghana Bwouy, One of Ghana’s premier hip-hop artists is set to turn another page in his successful career in the music game since his first ever release in 2008 August.
From releasing Ghanaian Music’s first double CD + DVD Album as his 20 track debut solo Album “Music, Love and Life” to signing with Sony Music a 5 year distribution deal via Rockstar 4000,to Representing GH Rap on the Historical first ever all African Bet HipHop Awards Cypher in October with 5 other Gh Artists ,Sarkodie, Tinny, Rockstone, Baby G, Kwaku-t and Ayigbe Edem, to making Ghana proud at the recently ended Channel O Awards in South Africa where he was the only Ghanaian performer and had the highest nominations from Ghana and second highest from Africa, scooping two awards at the 2010 4Syte Music Video Awards and putting up a spectacular performance on stage that night. All this in one year is an incredible feat for an English rapper in Ghana where the music industry is hands down a twi dominated one not to mention the many other award nominations in Nigeria and in the U.K he’s received this year . D-Black has received 15 nominations continentally till date and was adjudged Mnet’s Number 2 Bes t African English Rapper for 2010. All this and more before he even had an album out .
Still the humble and reserved young man, D-Black ventures into television this time via his long awaited Reality show .

It makes its debut on Television airing in Ghana on 4SYTE T.V and ETV GHANA and a Satellite DSTV Channel at a later date.
The Life and Rhymes of D-Black Reality Show delves into the lives of D-Black , members of his Black Avenue Muzik team ,as well as close friends and associates in the entertainment industry as they live their lives, their travels ,shows ,performances, interview sets, fights and squabbles, studio sessions, partying sessions, through the good and bad times as well as exclusive never before seen footage.
The Characters on here are soo very diverse, from his 17 year old artist “Dee – Moneey” a new age M.C yet to release his first hit single . In Season One made up of 12 episodes ,We take you down a journey with him feverishly trying to record his hit single and complete his first album in the 12 weeks time frame C.E.O “D-Black” has given him at the same time juggle his role as designated hype man and opening act for D-Black’s shows and concerts around Ghana and the world as well as attend to the many young girls tryna catch his attention . Working hand in hand with him on this album is Black Avenue Muzik music producer ,22 year old Michael “Green Gafacci” who produced 6 tracks off the recently released D-Black solo debut album, “Music, Love and Life” including Knock u awt by D-Black ft. Guru and Ayigbe Edem . He’s also produced for the likes of Kenya’s Wyre, Sarkodie, Nigerian songstress Zara ,Dr. Cryme, Segal from Gabon, Nigerian female M.c and “MTV AFRICA Awards(MAMA) 2009 nominated “Kel” and more in his brief 1 year career as a music producer.
Coming from a very humble background, Green Gafacci grew up in the streets of Labadi and reps “La” all day. From not being able to afford a computer to make beats on, be begun making beats in an internet cafe till he sent D-Black some of his work after a year via the social networking site “facebook”which caught the rapper’s attention in 2009. Now as as head producer at Black Aveneue Muzik they are together as a team creating the hybrid skeleton sound for Dee Moneey’s debut album tentatively titled “My Time to Eat”.
Other characters in “The Life and Rhymes of D-Black” Show include the man featured on D-Black’s HIT Single “Get on da Dancefloor” , Dr. Cryme , the Tema native formally Sarkodie’s hypeman, the ladies man and Twi Pop advocate who is now his own man with his singles “Kill Me Shy” and “Mene woa” making huge waves on Ghanaian radio currently. Also the Host of ETV’s Top Ten Countdown T.V Show Dr. Cryme’s funny personality and talent as both a rapper and singer have Ghana falling in love with him.
Robertson Debrah a.ka. “Robidebs” or “Uncle Debs” is the funniest character in this show as you’ll find out as the episodes roll out. The ex rapper turned Black Avenue Muzik’s Road manager and Hype man is D-Black’s best friend and childhood friend. Their fights and squabbles will definitely entertain you.
X.O Senavoe is the dynamic intellectual rapper from Ghana who lives in New York and shuffles back and forth Ghana and Nigeria and only entered a studio booth for the first time 6 month’s ago after meeting D-Black in a Black Berry Hiphop chat group. He’s begun creating a steady buzz on the internet and blogs in Ghana and Nigeria especially, off this freestyles “Taxi Music” and “Black and Yellow”. Note: He is one of the most intelligent rappers i’ve heard from Africa.
Waxi the Sound Engineer at Sound Republic Studios, Paulina Lartey (Black Avenue Muzik head dancer), Field Day (Urban Afro Pop Duo) and Zeph (The Team Camera man and Editor tyrna turn rapper) make up a crazy interesting cast on the “Life And Rhymes of D-Black” Show.
