David Addy Making First Team Strides In Porto Pre-Season
posted on Monday, 17th June 2013 - [ 925 views ]

Ghana defender David Addy is making impressive progress in pre-season on his return to FC Porto.

The 22-year-old was part of 24 players who began training towards the start of the 2012/20013 season on Monday.

The former Randers FC player who was part of the victorious Ghana U-20 squad in 2009 was farmed out on his second loan stint to Greek club Panetolikos where he made 25 appearances scoring three goals from his left-back position.

His impressive spell in Greece has seen him recalled to the Porto first team for pre-season where he hopes to be making regular first team appearances.

Addy’s aspirations for the coming season has translated into his enhanced work ethics in training with the bunch on day two of their pre-season exercise and is already impressing coach Vitor Pereira.

The team will continue with their two training sessions daily before traveling to Switzerland on July 9 to intensify their preparations.

The Portuguese champions will play their first pre-season friendly against Newcastle on July 28 before facing Academica in the Portuguese Super Cup early next month.
